pieces suitable for touring, featuring all local performers. This has
included a critically-acclaimed work entitled ‘Opera – A Passionate Affair’,
which launched at the Cremorne Theatre, QPAC.

Madam Butterfly – Puccini
A re-worked translation into English, and sold-old audiences at every
performance in each of the two seasons. Acclaimed as ‘the future of
opera in Queensland’, the cast featured Jennifer Parish, Kirsti Whitlock,
Stewart Cameron, Bernard Hull and Gordon Harris accompanied by
local orchestra conducted by David Banney and Russell Larkin.

Critically acclaimed as the musical highlight of the inaugural Brisbane Festival.
A cast of all-local performers including Jennifer Parish & Stewart Cameron
and with an orchestra conducted by David Banney. A brilliant piece of
music-theatre that has sadly not featured in Brisbane since.
